History

In 1834, Albert Henschen began warehousing a range of commercial import goods for Bremen merchants and traders. His business dealt with the handling and storage of wool, spices, wine, rubber, coffee and cacao.

Henschen was soon renowned as a specialist for the storage of raw tobacco from overseas.
